How old was your child when they got their first swing set?
We are planning to buy Zachary a wooden swing set for his 3rd birthday.(in May) His little brother or sister is due the month after that. I think he will be big enough to really enjoy it!!! It also has a little 'club' house in the bottom--so cute!!!

I cannot wait to sit on my front porch, holding the baby and watching Zachary play on his swing :)

So how old was your child and what did they think of it?
no i only ever Thumbs Up people that take the time to answer my questions unless it is a cruel remark---but only thumbsed up here :)
we have one of the baby swings that you can attach to the swingset or porch. We had it up on the porch for zach when he was a baby and i plan to take one of the seat swings off the new set and putting the baby swing up for the new baby when it is big enough to enjoy it :)

3 as well. But your plan sounds too ideallic! It's more like, Mommy push me! Mommy watch! Mommy I need help! Mommy watch as I take a flying leap from the top of the hut to try and land on the slide.

eta... lmao! You TD me! Just wait... you'll see.

I guess that's what they mean about assuming.... I'm hitting myself with a wet noodle right now!
We got a nice big wooden one a few months after we bought our house. The boys were one, two, and four. They were thrilled with it! (Well, they still are) The youngest even learned to climb the ladder to the slide before he walked!
My son was 3 as well - almost 4. He loved it.
Our daughter got her first one, also one of those nice wooden, sturdy swing sets, this past summer right after she turned 2. She used it but obviously needed a lot of supervision and help to get up the stairs to go down the slide or to swing. The only reason we got it then was because a guy my husband works with was going to tear it up and burn it if nobody wanted it and he gave it to us for free! : )

She will be 3 in April and I think she will enjoy it much more this summer!
1st of all, I must ask who's the jask ass talking about their computer?! Who cares!!

Anyway, My kids were 2 and 4, I didn't get a big wooden one, I got just a simple metal one with a slide, swings, teter totter and glider and they both enjoyed it very much, they are 4 and 6 now and I also have a 3 yr old too and they still enjoy it, but I have been wanting to upgrade to a nice wooden one.

I'm sure your sone will love it and good luck with your new baby!
My child was 2 1/2 and we still have it. She is a teen now. My husband put it up in the rain. I couldn't wait to let my little darling try it out. After my husband was finished, I put the raincoat on my daughter and went outside to let her swing. For several weeks, she insisted on wearing her raincoat every time to go swing--even when there was no cloud in the sky. She loved it!
Noah turned 3 in December and we plan on buying a swing set this coming spring. He had a Little Tikes slide up until now, but he's bored of it.
Nearly 2 - loved it from day 1 and still does.

Mine are 2 and 3 now and play independently in the clubhouse on bottom and go up to the slide alone. They swing on their belly's on the swing alone, but require me to push them in the regular swing. Get the baby a baby swing by probably 4 months old.........it is so much fun.....I can't wait for summer again.
